Yesterday, I finished reading a self-improvement classic:
The message in this book is a common one: The path to happiness lies within.
Though this message is common, it is always nice to hear it from other sources. As a Thich Nhat Hanh superfan, I tend to get my messages of peace and balance from him.
As a Thich Nhat Hanh superfan, I tend to get my messages of peace and balance from him. It was a nice change to read the lessons from another teacher.
Most Interesting Part
In a section of the book, the Dalai Lama writes about having spirituality without having religion.
I recommend reading just this section if you know anyone who is not affiliated with any organized religion, or if you are not affiliated with any religion.
More often than not, I’ve found that my Atheist friends and family members have a hard time explaining how they can still be spiritual folks while not believe in a God as defined by most organized religion. I think this section might be helpful.
If you’ve read this book, I would love to hear from you in the comments below.
