  1. A lot of what I read is for Book Page but it always throws some great stuff my way, so I am not complaining. This month, I was introduced to the brilliant novels of Madeleine Thien. I speedread the award winning Do Not Say We Have Nothing (but I promise to go back to it) and spent more time with the harrowing Dogs at the Perimeter. I was blown away by the mind-expanding essays in We Wear the Mask and had the great good fortune to read The Power – a dystopian novel by British writer Naomi Alderman about what transpires when women acquire the power of electricity in their bodies. And re-reading Roxanne Gay’s Bad Feminists just because I need her smarts and sass 24.7. Happy reading!!
